SIMEC SDG Research Centre (SSRC)
SIMEC group is committed to sustainability. In our business activities, we are not only concerned about the economic profitability but also social inclusion and environmental protections. The group aims to model and promote itself with world class corporate sustainability principles. The SDG Research Centre has been established at the SIMEC Institute of Technology in order to lead the activities of the Groups in all areas related to sustainability and sustainable development.
The Government of Bangladesh is committed to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGSs) of the United Nations by 2030. Accordingly, the government has initiated numerous activities and projects. The Centre intends to contribute to Bangladesh’s journey towards SDGs 2030 in cooperation with its overseas partner organizations.
The Centre is currently working in partnership with a Singapore based consulting firm Circular Economics Pty Ltd on their projects in Bangladesh with Curtin University of Australia and the Government of Bangladesh.
