Nusrat Tasnim Fariha

Nusrat Tasnim Fariha is a Research Assistant at the International Research Center of SIMEC Institute of Technology. Her academic background includes a Bachelor and Master’s degree in sociology from the University of Dhaka. She wrote a monograph titled “Students’ Access to Safe Water and Safe Sanitation: A Study on the Residential Students of Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall”, where she linked female students’ health and education attainment with functionalist perspectives. As a student, she participated in research projects that explored climate change and environmental sustainability in Bangladesh to gain practical research experience. At the International Research Center, she has been working on various research projects on the Korean Wave in Bangladesh, fan culture, digital culture, blue economy, gender, rural tourism, and streaming media.

Her research interests are sustainability, climate change, digital practices, digital culture, and gender. She is dedicated to addressing pressing global challenges through collaborative research.
