Motion graphics design is animation and a subset of graphic design, but with text as a major component. Motion graphics are graphics that use video footage and/or animation technology to create the illusion of motion or rotation, or a transforming appearance and are usually combined with audio for using in multimedia presentations. Motion graphics are generally short pieces of time-based visual media which combine the languages of film and graphic design. This can be accomplished by incorporation a number of different elements such as 2D and 3D animation, video, film, typography, illustration, photography, and music.  Motion graphics are very useful for showing something in a more interesting and visually exiting way which is why many companies use them to present their logos or idents. It can be found on a lot of different media now days, for example TV, internet, DVD menus and many others.

From storytelling to animation, the motion graphics industry is considered as the most exciting industry in the world. Professional motion designers know that Motion Design is ultimately not about the money, it’s about passion. According to Glassdoor in 2018 shows that a professional working in this field earns average $63000/year, generally range from $40000 to $83000. Skilled and talented freelancers can earn on average $65000/year according to the School of Motion.
