Motion graphics are graphics that use video footage and/or animation technology to create the illusion of motion or rotation, or a transforming appearance and are usually combined with audio for using in multimedia presentations. Motion graphics are generally short pieces of time-based visual media which combine the languages of film and graphic design. This can be accomplished by incorporation a number of different elements such as 2D and 3D animation, video, film, typography, illustration, photography, and music. Motion graphics are very useful for showing something in a more interesting and visually exiting way which is why many companies use them to present their logos or idents. It can be found on a lot of different media now days, for example TV, internet, DVD menus and many others.
